It almost feels like another lifetime ago, but once upon a time I was an English major and I studied massive compilation text books of British lit. Unfortunately most of my knowledge from this period in my life has since evaporated, but I still continue to be enthralled by the works of Wordsworth and Coleridge. So as a tribute to the poet-philosopher who said “my mind feels as if it ached to behold and know something great – something one and indivisible”, I wanted to create my Kubla Kahn, a small fragment of a fragment and produce my own little Coleridgean construction that applies to my own vision in a dream.

A beast with a blog
In a dream once I called:
It was a menace of a creature
Unleashing his greatest feature,
Telling me of wonders
My minds-eye could not behold.
His magic and his mind
A hold so deep it did win me
That my soul I chose to bind,
A new adventure so divine.

Nice post I like the poem..I found you by looking up Coleridge.
